A spaghetti strap dress in deep red cotton with a smocked bodice, a tie detail at the centre front, and a flared skirt that hits midi to maxi length. The red has depth rather than brightness, it reads rich and considered in both indoor and outdoor light. Adjustable straps, elasticated waist, pockets on both sides. 

Sleeveless and backless, which makes it work as well for a summer evening as it does for a festive occasion. Made by Deaf artisans. Hand wash in cold water.

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Wash separately for the first few washes to prevent colour bleeding. 

Do not soak, wring, or bleach. Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the red tone. Iron on medium heat when slightly damp.

  • The spaghetti straps and backless construction mean a regular bra will show. Stick-on cups or a backless adhesive bra work well. The smocked bodice provides enough structure that many body types wear it comfortably without any support underneath.

  • Yes, the straps are adjustable. The smocked bodice stretches to accommodate a range of bust sizes within each size band. XS/S, M/L, and XL/XXL are the three size options. If you are at the upper end of your usual size, the smocking will have less stretch reserve. Sizing up is recommended for a more comfortable fit through the chest.

  • The dress falls to midi length on most heights, sitting between the knee and the ankle. On taller frames, it sits higher. The flared skirt adds volume at the hem, which gives it a maxi-like presence even when the hem does not reach the floor.

  • Deep red cotton can bleed colour on the first wash. Hand wash separately in cold water for the first two to three washes to prevent colour transfer. After this, the colour stabilises. Avoid soaking and dry in shade away from direct sunlight to prevent fading over time.
