A mul cotton shirt for women, hand block-printed with bold circular motifs by Deaf artisans. The Mystic Mul carries the same Mystic Edit print, now in a fabric that breathes and moves differently from regular cotton. Mul is softer, lighter, and drapes naturally. It feels like less effort to wear. 

Short sleeves, collared front, button-down closure and a relaxed fit that works worn open as a layer or buttoned up on its own. Turn inside out before washing to protect the block print. Do not soak, wring, or bleach. Dry in shade away from direct sunlight. Iron on medium heat on the reverse side when slightly damp. Mul cotton can wrinkle easily, iron while slightly damp for best results.

  • Mul cotton is semi-sheer. The Mystic Mul Shirt is not fully transparent, but in direct light the fabric has some translucency. Most people wear a white or nude inner underneath, which is also how it is styled in the product images. The circular block print adds opacity in the printed areas, so the sheerness is most visible in the white gaps between motifs.

  • Mul cotton softens further with each wash rather than stiffening or pilling. Hand wash in cold water to maintain the drape and prevent shrinkage. The block print holds well with cold water washing. Avoid machine washing as the agitation can cause mul to lose its shape and drape quality over time.

  • The relaxed, oversized cut works well across most body types. On petite frames, the shirt reads as a longer, more dramatic layer. On taller frames, it sits closer to a regular, relaxed fit. The S/M covers most sizes 6 to 14 comfortably. If you want the hem to sit higher or prefer less volume through the body, size down.

  • The circular motifs are large and graphic, so the shirt reads most clearly when worn against plain inners and bottoms. The white base is neutral enough that it pairs with most colours underneath. Against other prints, it competes rather than coordinates. The product images show it worn with all-white basics, which is the most versatile approach.
